History Hackathon

The Hacathon Hanes (History Hacathon) will be a hack day focused on reusing historical data about the people of Wales from the National Library of Wales. This includes thousands of biographical records, portrait images, shipping records, geograhic data and OCR text from the collections. We are particularly keen to see reuse of Welsh langauge data.

Hacking can involve programming, data visualisation, gamification, creative and artistic reuse and much more! Click to check out some of the data available.

This is a free event and there will be refreshments, lunch and a goody bag for all participants!
