What is Gwynt Glas?

Gwynt Glas is a partnership between EDF Renewables UK & DP Energy to develop 1GW of floating wind in the Celtic Sea generating clean energy and boosting regional growth.

We are conducting initial development activities with the intention of obtaining an Agreement for Lease from The Crown Estate (TCE) in early 2024. Floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea could deliver over 3,000 jobs and £682 million in local supply chain opportunities by 2030, supporting coastal communities and creating long-term benefits for the region*.

Why should I attend this event?

This supplier event is aimed at local businesses who may be interested in tendering for potential opportunities arising from the construction and operation of Gwynt Glas, subject to the project obtaining the permissions and leases required to develop a 1GW project in the Celtic Sea.
