Foothold Cymru is a social justice charity. Established over 30 years ago, our vision remains the same. We are working to create strong communities where individuals can thrive and not just survive.
We are made up of a team of dedicated and passionate people all supporting communities and individuals to thrive and reach their potential. We are also supported by a team of brilliant volunteers who make it possible for us to achieve all that we do.
Our governance is provided by a Board of Trustees who bring a wealth of experience from the world of education, health, finance and the charity sector. They all live in the communities we work for here in West Wales.
Volunteens: Be Heard. Be Helpful is a year-long strategic project funded by Welsh Government and administered by WCVA and Volunteering Wales which started in October 2022. The project has worked with over 200 young people in Carmarthenshire through engaging them in conversations around volunteering; participating in volunteer taster days and creating a series of resources including a film, toolkit and teacher presentation.
The project is now coming to an end and as such we are hosting an online roundtable event in order to share the outcomes and resources that have been created. This will also provide an opportunity to hear more about the project ask any questions to our guest panel.
Volunteens: Cael eich clywed. Byddwch yn ddefnyddiol yn brosiect strategol blwyddyn o hyd a ariennir gan Lywodraeth Cymru ac a weinyddir gan CGGC a Gwirfoddoli Cymru a ddechreuodd ym mis Hydref 2022. Mae'r prosiect wedi gweithio gyda dros 200 o bobl ifanc yn Sir Gaerfyrddin drwy eu cynnwys mewn sgyrsiau ynghylch a wirfoddoli; Cymryd rhan mewn diwrnodau blasu gwirfoddolwyr a chreu cyfres o adnoddau gan gynnwys ffilm, pecyn cymorth a chyflwyniad athrawon.
Mae'r prosiect bellach yn dod i ben ac felly rydym yn cynnal digwyddiad bord crwn ar-lein er mwyn rhannu'r canlyniadau a'r adnoddau sydd wedi'u creu. Bydd hyn hefyd yn gyfle i glywed mwy am y prosiect ac I ofyn unrhyw gwestiynau i'n panel gwadd.
