How you can use the power of effective storytelling to grow your organization.

To give participants an insight into how their organisation can approach stories and storytelling effectively. You will leave feeling inspired after exploring current good practice, forms, technology and storytelling techniques.

Charities and organisations often fail to leverage their greatest asset - their stories. Good storytelling can make a real difference to the way organisations are seen by funders and beneficiaries alike. Stories can help communicate the impact of your work as well as be effective as a learning tool for others; peer support or to help change behaviour. But storytelling is a skill that often needs to be developed and knowing where to start isn't always easy.

The 1 day course will explore examples of good practice, delve into ethical considerations, look at practical exercises to elicit stories and to empower people to tell their own, provide technical advice and give clear and practical guidance for participants about how to best approach stories for their organisation's benefit.

This course will help you identify your impact stories and choose the right medium for telling and delivering that story. This day will leave participants inspired to use stories in their organisations and give practical skills and useful advice, handouts and exercises for how to get started in gathering real life stories.

Who this course is for

This course is for anyone in an organisation who is looking to use stories and isn't sure where to start or for staff who have had a go but not sure if they're on the right path or for people looking to enhance their understanding of this form.
