Teamwork

Delivered through the medium of English

Aim

The session is intended to inform, engage and inspire; to get buy-in across the organisation, and, if desired, among partners and within the communities you support. We aim to create an energy and a ‘can-do’ enthusiasm which can be channelled into action.

Content

This introductory session includes presentations, exercises, small-group and whole group discussions, and Q&A opportunities. It also includes a range of inspirational case-studies which offer powerful evidence of the impact of working in this way. It will cover:

  • What co-production is, and isn’t.
  • Why co-produce: purpose, value and impact.
  • Strengths & Assets. What are you already doing?
  • When to co-produce. Spectrum of engagement & complexity theory.
  • Measuring what Matters. Co-productive evaluation.
  • Co-pro and you - What could we do? What difference could we make?

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand what co-production is and the principles that underpin it
  • Understand when (and when not) to use this approach
  • Understand the impact of the co-production – for citizens, staff and organisations
  • Understand the basics of a co-productive approach to evaluation
  • Consider how these principles could be applied in their specific organisational context

Who the course is for?

The Co-production Essentials session is designed for those with little or no knowledge of co-production, although those with experience in this way of working will also find it beneficial. It is suitable for a wide range of stakeholders - from trustees and managers through to frontline staff – and for members of the communities you support.
