A smart town is an urban area that uses different types of electronic methods and sensors to collect data, often referred to as the 'Internet of Things' (IOT). This data can help councils and businesses better understand their customer base, and, in turn, manage assets and resources efficiently and plan projects that lead to economic growth.
In this webinar, we'll be joined by colleagues from Menter Môn who have been leading the 'Year of smart towns' project, commissioned by Welsh Government. They will introduce us to the types of data that are available, how they can be accessed and how they can help inform other key policy areas, including decarbonisation and the Cost of Living crisis.
Please note, the webinar will be:
- in English only, but you will have an opportunity to ask questions / raise comments in Welsh via the chat function.
- recorded and made publicly available on Data Cymru’s website following the event. Delegates cameras and microphones will be off by default during the webinar.
Registration closes on Wednesday 8 March 2023.
