As living costs continue to soar and increasing numbers of people face hardship, having data that allows us to understand both the current and ongoing impacts of the Cost-of-Living crisis on our communities is essential.
For the last ten years, we have been working with CACI to provide access to their PayCheck dataset, which provides postcode level estimates of gross household income. More recently, CACI have developed a Paycheck Disposable Income model. This model can help users understand the extent to which communities will be affected, at a granular, local level, as disposable income decreases in the face of rising living costs.
In this webinar, we will be joined by colleagues from CACI who will walk you through their segmentation tool (Acorn) and their income datasets (Paycheck / Paycheck Disaposable) and how they can be used to inform our response to the current crisis. We will also showcase a tool we have developed for local authorities to assess the affordability of energy and housing costs.
Please note: we will arrange a follow up meeting for those organisations who are interested in purchasing any of the data discussed during the webinar.
The webinar will be:
- in English only, but you will have an opportunity to ask questions / raise comments in Welsh via the chat function.
- recorded and made publicly available on Data Cymru’s website following the event. Delegates cameras and microphones will be off by default during the webinar.
Registration closes on Wednesday 8 February 2023.
